This Privacy Policy describes how Floating Sifter LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the TextSkipper service ("Service"). TextSkipper is an SMS-based marketing automation tool that helps charter captains and tour operators generate marketing content by texting in trip details.

By using our Service — including by texting our number — you agree to the practices described in this policy.

SMS Messaging & Consent

How Operators Opt In

TextSkipper operators (business owners who use our platform) provide explicit consent to receive SMS messages when they sign up at textskipper.com/signup. By completing signup, operators agree to receive automated marketing content, account notifications, and service-related messages from TextSkipper.

Message Frequency

The number of messages you receive depends on how often you text in trip details. For each trip message you send, you will receive one automated response containing your generated marketing content. You may also receive occasional service notifications (e.g., billing alerts, feature updates).

How to Opt Out

SMS Data Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes.

The service providers listed below (Twilio, OpenAI, Stripe) receive information only as necessary to deliver the TextSkipper service and are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own marketing purposes.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: Name, business name, email address, and phone number provided during signup.
• Business details: Business type, location, highlights, and voice style preferences you enter during onboarding.
• SMS message content: The trip details and other text messages you send to our number.
• Payment information: Billing details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

Information Collected Automatically

• Message metadata: Timestamps, delivery status, and message identifiers associated with SMS communications (provided by our SMS carrier, Twilio).
• Usage data: How you interact with the service, including pages visited on our website and links clicked in shared reports.
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, and operating system when you access our website.

Information from Third Parties

We receive delivery and status information from Twilio (our SMS provider) and payment event data from Stripe (our billing provider).

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the TextSkipper service — generating and delivering marketing content via SMS.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send service-related notifications (billing, account changes, feature updates).
• To improve the quality and accuracy of generated content.
• To respond to support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or SMS message content to third parties. We do not use your information for unrelated advertising.

Information Sharing

We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate TextSkipper:

• Twilio: SMS delivery and phone number management. Your phone number and message content are transmitted through Twilio to send and receive SMS. Twilio Privacy Policy

• Railway (hosting): Our servers and database run on Railway's infrastructure.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Floating Sifter LLC or others.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and message history for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days before being deleted, unless you request earlier deletion.

SMS message content (your trip texts and generated marketing) is stored so that you can access and share past reports. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure environment variable management, and validated webhook signatures for all incoming Stripe and Twilio events.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

Children's Privacy

TextSkipper is intended for business operators and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP.
• Withdraw consent for data processing (note: this may prevent us from providing the service).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will notify active operators via SMS or email.
